On a world where a day lasts ninety years a new power is rising; a  sinister priesthood whose lust for empire reaches to distant shores,  ensnaring, simple and unsuspecting people. This is the first novel by  award winning filmmaker Andy Sparrow; an absorbing, briskly paced story  of one man’s odyssey across an alien world. It is an epic journey that  takes the reader to frozen wastes, snatches them from the jaws of  vengeful sea serpents, and delivers them to dark dreadful chambers where  men are tortured in the name of God. It is a story of friendship, love,  passion, greed, betrayal, war, corruption and the birth of a new faith  that will change a world forever.

Available on Amazon Kindle.

The author holds a dark mirror to our own history as he delves into  themes of religious extremism, ethnic cleansing and colonialism. This  is a story where the characters are not easily divided into good and  evil. Torrin, a reluctant and unlikely hero, finds himself bereaved by  an atrocity of war. An ill-judged quest for vengeance precipitates a  series of perilous episodes and unites him with an unlikely companion.  The sanctuary that Torrin craves must, it seems, come at a price  demanded from him by powerful men. Manipulated, deceived and bereft,  with all hope gone, time is running out…

Available on Amazon Kindle.

Torrin is compelled to lead a band of travellers south into  unknown lands. Hidden behind a wall of mountains is the Realm, where  truth reigns supreme and lying is a crime. Torrin and his companions are  each forced to confront unwelcome realities in a land of knowledge and  invention beyond their imaginations. In the group are Torrin's sons, the  traumatised Edil, the arrogant Nagul and their wives, restless,  petulant Laya, and passionate evangelist, Meryl. Other travellers in the  group are Mugha and S'danka of the tribe Ummakil, with their own secret  agenda of apocalyptic prophecy to be fulfilled. And finally there is  Starr, agent of the Emperor, deadly assassin with a shameful secret. All  must face their own unwelcome truths but it is Torrin who must make the  hardest choice; Torrin who must decide where his allegiances lie in the  looming war with the Tryanny of Truth.

Available on Amazon Kindle.

Originally written as a screenplay for a television series, the story of Beth will now also be told in a series of six novels.  The timescale for this project is uncertain but the author hopes to produce two books annually, which should mean completion by the end of 2027.

Beth, part one - The Bloody Code
Set in the year 1800, sixteen year old Beth makes an impulsive choice. Leaving behind her family farm in Devon she sets sail for the industrial city of Swansea. After an act of self defence she becomes a hunted felon - a stranger in a strange land with no way home. Her only sanctuary is a group of outcasts and petty thieves who live in constant fear of the retribution of the Bloody Code.  Even those who were once friends cannot be trusted. If she cannot return safely across the sea how will she see her home again?

Beth, part two - The Red Flag
Beth arrives in Merthyr Tydfil as tensions build between the mine owners and the workers. Revolution is in the air, secretly fermented by powerful men who are intent on provoking an uprising they can use for their own advantage.
